📖 Biography

Guoxiang Gu is a professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Louisiana State University, USA. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1988.

Since 1990, he has been a faculty member at Louisiana State University, where he is currently the F. Hugh Coughlin/CLECO Distinguished Professor and an IEEE Life Fellow. He has held visiting positions at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Southwest Jiaotong University in China. His research interests include networked control systems, system identification, and adaptive learning control. He has served as an associate editor for journals such as IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, and Automatica. He has published two academic monographs, over 90 journal papers, and numerous book chapters and conference papers.

📖 Biography

Ke Guan is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control and Safety, Beijing Jiaotong University, China. He received his Ph.D. in Communication and Information Systems from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2014, and was a visiting scholar at the Technische Universität Braunschweig (Germany) and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain).

His research focuses on radio propagation, millimeter-wave and terahertz channel measurement and modeling, and mobile communication systems for smart rail transit (GSM-R, LTE-R, 5G-R). He has authored over 259 publications, including 93 SCI journal papers, with more than 3,600 citations and an h-index of 30. He has served as a management committee member of the European COST Actions and as an editorial board member for several IEEE journals, and is a 3GPP interface person for Beijing Jiaotong University.

He was awarded the Second Prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education of China (2016), a Research Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (2015) and the URSI Young Scientist Award (2014). He also received the First Prize in the National Young Teachers' Teaching Competition for Electronic Information Majors (2019).

📖 Biography

Renxiang Chen is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Chongqing Jiaotong University, China, where he serves as Vice Dean of the College of Mechatronics and Vehicle Engineering and Executive Vice Dean of the Transportation Robot Integration Innovation Research Institute. He received his Ph.D. from Chongqing University and was a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA.

His research covers intelligent measurement and control, fault prediction and health management, intelligent operation and maintenance, robotics and artificial intelligence, intelligent vehicles and rail transit vehicles. He has led three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (two General Programs and one Youth Program) and more than 30 national and provincial/ministerial projects, including sub-topics of the National Key R&D Program.

He has published over 90 SCI/EI indexed papers as first author or corresponding author in journals such as IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics and the Journal of Mechanical Engineering, and has been granted 15 invention patents. He was selected as a Transportation Youth Sci-Tech Talent of the Ministry of Transport of China and a Bayu Young Scholar of Chongqing, and has received the First Prize of the Chongqing Science and Technology Progress Award twice.

📖 Biography

Dingjun Chen is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Transportation Engineering, School of Transportation and Logistics, Southwest Jiaotong University, China. He received his Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University.

His research focuses on the optimization of rail transit transportation organization, including train timetables and transportation planning under complex railway network conditions. He is a research member of the Sichuan Engineering Technology Research Center for Intelligent Rail Transit Operation Organization and of the National Railway Train Timetable Compilation R&D and Training Center. He has led more than 20 research projects, including sub-topics of the National Key R&D Program and projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

He has published over 50 papers in journals such as IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Transportation Research Part D and Reliability Engineering and System Safety, more than 30 of which are indexed by SCI/EI. He has published two academic monographs and one textbook, and holds 12 national invention patents. He has been awarded the First Prize of the Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award and the First, Second and Third Prizes of the China Railway Society Science and Technology Award.
