Biography:

Giambattista Gruosso graduated from the Polytechnic University of Turin in 1999 and received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2003. Since 2022, he has been with the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, where he is currently an Associate Professor. He has authored more than 150 scientific publications in journals and international conferences and has collaborated extensively with companies in the mobility sector through consulting and research activities. His work has contributed to several research projects on charging planning, as well as the integration of charging stations into ICT and electrical networks. Prof. Gruosso is widely recognized as an expert in mobility and charging infrastructures. He is an active member of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS), where he also serves on the Board of Governors and is a Distinguished Lecturer. He is currently President of the IEEE Italy Section, Vice-Chair of the IEEE European Public Policy Committee, and Scientific Director of the MADE Industry 4.0 Competence Center. At the Politecnico di Milano, he leads the Simlab 4.0 research group. His research interests span industrial automation, electrical power systems, data analytics, big data, electric vehicles, charging systems and infrastructure, connected vehicles, simulation and analysis of electrical systems, electromechanical devices, hardware-in-the-loop, machine learning, and vehicle technology.

Biography:

Vinko Lesic (S'09-M'15-SM'17) received his PhD degree in 2014 from University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Zagreb, Croatia (UNIZG-FER). Today, he is an Associate Professor within Laboratory for Renewable Energy Systems at the Department of Control and Computer Engineering of UNIZG-FER. His focus is on control algorithms, optimisation and artificial intelligence in renewable energy and sustainability topics or more particularly convex optimisation and machine learning methods for buildings and transport energy efficiency, microgrid operation, and agriculture. His patented PhD research he shaped into the technology transfer project with a multinational aerospace R&D company. Since then, he has been leading 8 scientific-research and development and 4 technology transfer projects, and an own research group of 20 scientists. He shares his scientific commercialisation experience through mentoring in local and international programmes for technology innovations. He co-authored more over 100 journal and conference papers and 5 patents. Currently, he is a member of Scientific and Professional Council of Innovation Centre Nikola Tesla (ICENT) and a founder of start-ups accelerator program Imagine, Create, Innovate. He is a distinguished volunteer in IEEE association, serving the role of Vice Chair of IEEE Region 8 Member Activities, coordinating programs on knowledge transfer and international networking of over 80,000 scientists and engineers from Europe, Africa and Middle East. He co-founded a program of IEEE Region 8 Entrepreneurship Initiative, aimed at design thinking, startups formation and acceleration, which examined over 350 technical innovations from 30 countries. Currently, he is the Chair of IEEE Croatia Section.

Fabio Pressi

A2A E-mobility

CEO and President of A2A E-Mobility

Biography:

Fabio Pressi joined the A2A Group in January 2021 as CEO and President of A2A E-Mobility. He is a lecturer at LUISS Business School, Major of the Master's program in Management and Technology and Smart Mobility, and has over 20 years of experience as a top manager in the field of smart mobility technologies. Since March 2024, he is President of the Motus-E Association. In 2025, he published the book Digital mobility, edited by Luiss University Press. Born in 1966, he graduated in Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin and worked for over ten years at the Atlantia Group in the fields of digital product development and big data. In particular, he served as CEO of Infoblu S.p.A., where, within a few years, he transformed the company into one of the leading firms in leveraging big data collected from vehicles, developing national infomobility services for both the public and private markets. Previously, he was the Chief Data Officer at Telepass S.p.A., where he led the company's expansion into the digital payments business.
